# March water outage at FCI Edgefield

Other March 11, 2026 · [FCI Edgefield](https://federalprisondude.com/resources/federal-prisons/edg-fci-edgefield-federal-correctional-institution-south-carolina)

What the local press ran on this, in one place. I have not written it up beyond the headlines, and the links go to the outlets themselves.

Running water is not a perk. When families are sounding the alarm about an outage, 'the institution is addressing it' is not the same thing as inmates having reliable access to water.
